Should you find your pet in an emergency situation after our regular business hours, the Ottawa Veterinary Hospital or the Alta Vista Animal Hospital provide 24 hour urgent veterinary care. Both clinics provide emergency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays.
For the Ottawa Veterinary Hospital (613-725-1182): take the Queensway and exit at Maitland Avenue - proceed North and turn right onto Carling Avenue. Boyd Avenue is the first street on the right directly AFTER the traffic lights on Broadview Ave (Valiquette Sports is on the Corner of Boyd and Carling). The hospital is located at 900 Boyd Avenue, which is the last building on the right hand side adjacent to the Queensway itself. Parking is available in the front and at the side of the building. For the Alta Vista Animal Hospital (613-731-9911): take the Queensway and exit at Bronson Ave. Proceed south and travel past Carleton University where the road now becomes the Airport Parkway. Exit at Hunt Club Rd. and turn left at the lights. Turn right at Bank St. and head south approximately 1 km. The hospital is on 2616 Bank St on the right hand side across from the Hunt Club Volkswagen dealership.
Both locations offer state-of-the-art veterinary medical facilities, prepared to manage very complex emergency situations. During all hours of operation at least one emergency clinician and veterinary technician are onsite.
